Sandown

Sandown, Isle of Wight

Sandown is a seaside resort and civil parish on the south-east coast of the Isle of Wight, United Kingdom. It is located between the resort of Shanklin to the south and the settlement of Lake. Together with Shanklin, Sandown forms a built-up area of 21,374 inhabitants1.

Sandown is famed for its long stretches of golden sandy beach and traditional British seafront and pier. The town has a great selection of attractions including a zoo housed in an old fort and a purpose-built interactive dinosaur museum
