Mae’r Bala yn dref farchnad hanesyddol ym Mharc Cenedlaethol Eryri, Cymru. Mae wedi’i hamgylchynu gan ardal wledig Penllyn sydd â hunaniaeth a diwylliant Cymreig cryf a bywiog. Mae’r ardal yn llawn afonydd, yn disgyn oddi ar y mynyddoedd i greu cyrff gwych o ddŵr. Llif Tryweryn a Dyfrdwy o boptu’r Bala, gan greu Llyn Tegid – llyn naturiol mwyaf Cymru. Mae yna hefyd reilffordd stêm sy’n rhedeg ar hyd glan y llyn. Mae yna lawer o siopau a chaffis i ddarparu ar gyfer y twristiaid toreithiog.

Bala is an historic market town in the Snowdonia National Park, Wales. It is surrounded by the rural region of Penllyn which has a strong and vibrant Welsh identity and culture. The area is alive with rivers, tumbling off the mountains to create great bodies of water. The Tryweryn and Dee flow either side of Bala, creating Llyn Tegid (Bala Lake) – Wales’ largest natural lake. There is also a steam railway that runs along the lakeside. There are many shops and cafes to cater for the plentiful tourists.
