Buddy was a huge influence on the music that followed his tragic early death in 1959 at the age of 22.

Buddy died in a plane crash on 3rd February, a day immortalised later by Don McLean as “The day the music died” in his own classic American Pie.

I was too young to ever see Buddy but I do have a good collection of his music ( and I did get to see Don McLean sing American Pie live)

Here is my list of Buddy’s albums and tracks; Note that many are repeated in compilation albums. Also note how short the music tracks were in Buddy’s day; nothing like the track lengths that are common today.
